2001-2005 – In The Beginning…

Sometime around April ’01, Theo Sanders, Tim Durden, Dave Edwards, Adam Drutman and Dan Kok decide to form a band to compete in the school Battle of the Bands competition at Westcliff High. Uncertain on particularly catchy name, the band settles with ‘Whiteleech’.

Sometime in early 2002, Dan leaves the band to pursue other interests.

July ’02 – The band competes in the 2002 competition, performing a mix of original material and Nirvana covers to a roaring crowd of mini-moshers. The night is thoroughly enjoyed by all.

2005-2006 – Hiatus

August ’05, Tim leaves to join the Royal Navy. Unsure about the future direction of the band, Theo continues working on solo material, performing on various stages around Leeds. After 18 months in the service, Tim’s back in ‘civi street’ and the buys another drum kit. The band reforms.

Given that musical styles have now changed, along with attitudes and haircuts, the band decides to reunite under the title ‘Rohan By Nightfall’.

2007 - 2008 – In New Music We Trust…

2007 see’s the band record their first EP  since reformation. ‘The Oakdene Sessions Pt. 1′ is recorded at Stag Studio’s, Witham.

2009 – Present

Armed with new material, the band sets about gigging around the local area, playing numerous venues around Essex. The band get their first radio interview on BBC 3 Counties, as well as some airplay on local and online radio. During this time, Dave is replaced on bass by Will Sparling (Fortune Favours The Brave).

Nov ’09 – The band record their second EP ‘Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid)’, including a remix by local DJ Pete ‘Dirtyfunki’ Dorling.

Dec ’09 – Gaining the interest of a local promotor, the band are invited to take part in their first mini-tour, playing a string of dates around Southend.
